About the instructor:

MARK “Modz” MODZELEWSKI

Mark is an American theatre director and educator who relocated to Sofia, BG with his Bulgarian wife and family. He has been involved in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. Along the way he has worked as an actor, teacher, director, workshop facilitator, coach, producer, voiceover artist and in various backstage and technical positions. He has been a teacher for over 15 years and also worked at summer camps and after-school programs for over 20 years. Mark has taught in Wickenburg, AZ, Trumbull, CT, USA, London, UK, and Sofia, BG.

He holds a BA from Fordham Univ. (NYC, USA) in Theatre Performance and an MFA from Univ. Essex/ East 15 Acting School (Essex, UK). He has also trained at GITIS in Moscow (RU), Institut Seni Indonesia (ID) and Southern Oregon Univ. in Ashland, Oregon. He received a CELTA (Certficate for teaching English to speakers of other languages) from International House – London. for teaching English as an Additional Language. He has performed onstage, in commercials and in film. His directing projects have been seen in Arizona, California and Connecticut (USA), London and Cardiff (UK), Denpasar (ID) and Sofia (BG).

Modz is the Founder and Artistic Director of Theater Visions and he passionately believes in the power of theatre to change lives whether or not people pursue it as a career.
